Accra, Nov. 23, GNA - Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) on Friday organized a luncheon to discuss issues of mutual benefit to both organizations.
Mr Seth Adjei Baah, the President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Ghana has become the preferred investment destination through the implementation of prudent policies and programmes adding that “we have significantly transformed our economic landscape and created the enabling environment for the private sector to operate efficiently and profitably”.
He said the balance of trade was currently in the favour of Hong Kong as the country exported just two million dollars worth of goods to them whiles it imported seventy seven million dollars worth of goods.
He urged all the 25 business delegation present at the luncheon to build the right kind of network that will set the tone for propelling business to greater heights.
Mr Raymond Yip, the Assistant Executive Director of Hong Kong Business Mission Leader, said HKTDC was established in 1996, and is the international marketing arm for the manufacturers and service providers of Hong Kong.
